[ARCHIVE] 2007-12-07: Al Gore’s Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech

On December 7, 2007, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and the IPCC were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “…for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.” Acceptance speeches were made by both Mr. Gore and by Rajendra K. Pachauri, representing the IPCC. The video (and the transcript below, created by Huffington Post) present Mr. Gore’s 20-minute acceptance speech.
